Biography
White Rabbit Slim plays Tundra Noir. Decadent, sexy, and sympathetically vulgar.
Where sand turns to snow, California becomes Hallingdal, and desert meets Norwegian mountain plains.
Sin, glamour, and decay under a neon-clad moon.
The band was started in Bergen in 2012 by a group of friends from Geilo. Life then took them in all directions. But Slim smoldered on – songs, riffs, lyrics, and ideas that refused to die into oblivion. It would take years for everything to take shape, but now the embers have been reignited.
After a long slumber, Slim returns with more rawness, more darkness, in a universe drawing on self-experienced myths, lived lives, truth, lies, and Nordic cold.
The singles Tigers Chasing Dragons, Slow Comfortable Screw Up Against the Wall in the Dark Side of Mexico, and Please Predict Me all point toward the debut album Vaudeville, Regrets & Delights – a freakshow of fuzz, piano, brimstone, and burlesque poetry.
From the tundra, White Rabbit Slim conjures songs. Hunting real jackalopes and imaginary shadows, through snow and neon. A soundtrack to a delirium on the Hardangervidda for a film that was never made.
You are welcome.
